Springboard Corner

AivoCode – an early-stage biotech company developing innovative therapies to treat various neurological diseases, the company recently received a contract as part of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) Cornerstone Program. This is a five-year, $22M program awarded to Battelle to develop preventive methods in the treatment of traumatic brain injury (TBI), a serious concern for U.S. warfighters. AivoCode is one of five investigators participating in this program.


Doctible – founded in 2013, Doctible has developed an intuitive and user-friendly patient engagement platform for patients to easily find and engage with a network of healthcare providers. Over the years, the company has won numerous awards and accolades, and most recently was recognized with six badges of excellence in G2’s summer report, the world’s largest software marketplace reviewer.


MyoGene Bio – an early-stage biotech company developing gene editing therapies to treat muscle diseases, the company is one of four U.S. startups selected to compete at the Global Entrepreneurship World Cup later this year. CEO and Co-Founder Courtney Young will be pitching against 100+ startups from around the globe for a share of USD 1M in cash prizes.


Origami Therapeutics– founded in 2015, Origami Therapeutics is a pre-clinical stage company developing novel therapeutics to treat neurodegenerative diseases such as Huntington’s Disease. The company was recently awarded a SBIR Ph-1 grant from the National Institutes of Health Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NIH-NINDS). The funding will be used to further advance the development of their small molecule to identify a lead therapeutic candidate.


Resolute Science– founded in 2020, Resolute Science is a pre-clinical biotech company whose mission is to develop pan-cancer therapeutics to treat aggressive and hard-to-treat solid tumors. The company recently received notice of award for the Phase-2 portion of their Fast Track Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Cancer Institute. This $2.1M grant will help the Resolute Science team to accelerate their IND-enabling studies.


ShipCalm – a provider of innovative and comprehensive operational solutions for e-commerce fulfillment and third-party logistics business owners, the company recently acquired California-based River Source Logistics (RSL). With this strategic acquisition, the combined company will be able to expand its offerings, increase its customer base, and enhance its capacity and efficiency.


Vizer – well known for its award-winning rewards app which incentivized tracking daily activity goals, and once reached, converting those goals into meal donations (3+ million meals donated) to U.S. food banks, the company recently evolved to an enterprise marketing intelligence platform, elevating brands and boosting sales. Albertsons, among others, has employed Vizer to offer special mobile offers and discounts to shoppers in the store.
