The company's near-term profit targets include "retrofit" replacement strategies for lead-acid battery technology in Wind Energy and Generator Reserve Power

Why is your company the best option to solve the problem you're solving?

The founders, proven leaders formerly from Maxwell Technologies' leadership and product management teams, formed UCAP Power after the recent acquisition by Tesla. We invented the Wind Energy Ultracapacitor retrofit category and are now designing solutions to make our customers even happier.

What nuggets of info make you interesting? Why do people care about what you're doing?

Our goal as a company is to make a lasting impact. Our solutions displace 4M lead acid batteries in Wind Turbines and eliminates 35M pounds of virgin lead from the environment leading to a cleaner, healthier planet!

What else do you want us to know?

Ultracapacitor's use carbon derived from coconut shells - so therefore we put electrons on coconuts! That's pretty green:)

What one book, podcast, newsletter, etc. do you recommend to other entrepreneurs? Why?

"Never Split the Difference" by Chris Voss. One of the best negotiation books about human psychology written by a former hostage negotiator for the FBI. I recommend it to all my sales and business team.

What inspired you to start/run this company?

I wanted to keep working with the team I recruited and lead at Maxwell before Telsa came in and acquired the company. We were doing great things and making an impact - why stop when you are doing great things!
