Circumvent has created a proprietary platform that identifies underlying biology that drives neurodegenerative disease in both pediatric and aging dementia patients.
Why is your company the best option to solve the problem you're solving?
We have identified unique methods for profiling for underlying biology. We have brought together a strong team of experts that span academia and industry professionals. We have demonstrated strong traction in applying these methodologies to get a number of translational programs off the ground.
What nuggets of info make you interesting? Why do people care about what you're doing?
"We are a patient centered company. We have active conversations with the patient community. Both academics and industry have tended to be dogmatic in approaches for developing products in the neuro space. We have been different in how we think about investigating new biology and the tools we deploy. We look to play an active role in the San Diego biotech community."

The patients and the need to do something different in the neuro space.
What's the best entrepreneurial advice you've received?
Don't give up.
What's the worst entrepreneurial advice you've received?
You should check every box and know exactly where you are going before launching.
What sets your company culture apart?
We are a principles first company. When it comes to new ideas and moving ideas forward, we do not necessarily go with the tide. We think about the information that is out there, the information that we are receiving from our studies and make a principles first decision. Sometimes (often) our insights and approach is quite different from others because of this.
