Bill Kuncz is a proven financial and operating executive with over 25 years of experience leading high-growth, innovation-driven companies as both CEO and CFO. He has built and scaled multiple venture-backed startups from formation through market validation and commercialization, with leadership roles spanning drug discovery, medical devices, AI, digital health, SaaS, Fintech, biotechnology, wireless and semiconductors, mHealth/mPERS, international engineering services, and direct-to-consumer goods and services.
A strategic leader with deep experience in technology commercialization and business model innovation, Bill has partnered closely with founders, boards, and investors to build strong cultures, develop cross-functional teams, and drive disciplined execution. His capital markets experience includes sourcing and closing bank debt, venture capital and private equity rounds, venture debt, and private placements. He is highly skilled in working with investors, investment banks, auditors, and legal teams to enable rapid growth while strengthening governance, financial controls, and risk management.
Bill was previously recognized as San Diego CFO of the Year in the medium-sized private company category. He graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and earned his MBA in Finance from Santa Clara University.
