Continuing the momentum started at the beginning of this quarter, here’s what’s new from the Springboard Corner! The Springboard Corner is designed to highlight and share recent milestones of life science and hi-tech startups which we have worked with through Connect’s Springboard program.

Carlsmed – founded in 2018, Carlsmed is looking to disrupt how surgical intervention in spine surgery is performed. Their patented device incorporates patient’s data and scans along with machine learning technology to create a truly personalized surgical plan which is then used to construct a customized 3-D printed implant specific for each patient’s needs. They recently closed an oversubscribed $30M Series B round with plans to accelerate commercialization.
Concert Health – a leading behavioral health startup which was founded in 2016, the company integrates with primary care physicians and healthcare groups to provide quick and easy access to behavioral health services. They recently closed a $42M Series B round and plan to use these funds to scale their technology-driven platform.
Fuse Integration – founded by military veterans in 2010, Fuse is an innovative engineering and design company developing cutting-edge communications and computing solutions for our nation’s warfighters. Fuse is among the 23 companies recently awarded a combined $950M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract by the U.S. Air Force.
Furthermore, Brad Feldman, Chairman and CEO of Neology, and former Chairman and CEO of Cubic Corporation, has joined its Board of Advisors to provide strategic leadership and business insights.
iAssay – founded in 2014 and a developer of an all-in-one, handheld HIPAA-compliant point-of-care diagnostic system, iAssay has been granted a new patent by the USPTO (U.S. Patent and Trademark Office). This latest patent covers nineteen significant claims mostly related to functionality, processing, and wireless communication enhancements.
Qubitekk – a leader in developing quantum technologies, we showcased them in last month’s Springboard Corner as being a finalist in the 2022 Edison Awards. Congratulations! They are the recipient of this year’s Edison Gold Award in the Communications and Cybersecurity category for their Quantum Protected Network.

MuReva Phototherapy – has developed a medical device using photomodulation to treat oral mucositis
ShadowBox – has developed a secure platform for fast and accurate automation of healthcare workflows
Tag-N-Trac – has developed a SaaS platform for real-time supply chain tracking
Vizer – has developed a SaaS platform which converts users’ exercise activities into impact and rewards
