This is "SBIR: Navy Overview" by Connect San Diego on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.
The Small Business Innovation Research program, SBIR, has been supporting small businesses since its inception in 1982. The program understands the importance small businesses have in the development of technology, the economy, job creation, and is therefore a key part of the innovation ecosystem.
Innovation Day in San Diego highlighted the robust ecosystem our community has developed and continues to develop. Five•Ten•Thirty was a success for our innovation community, with many companies in attendance being recipients of SBIR awards from the various participating agencies.
The Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific, NIWC Pac, under the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command, NAVWAR, was present during this event to continue to support our partnership. Our partnership led to the creation of Connect’s program, SBIR@Connect, and is meant to foster relationships between industry, academia, and the government, while also demystifying the program to make it accessible to those eligible to participate. We understand starting the journey to work with the government can be intimidating and difficult to understand and navigate. One of our program’s goals is to help make this journey easier for you, which is why we have created different resources, including our new Navy Overview video. In this video you will get a quick overview of the Navy, its commands, the areas their respective SBIR programs support, and more.
