Meet the Advisors

Jeff Simpson

Jeff Simpson is a Senior Vice President and Property and Casualty Broker in Newfront’s Life Science and Technology Practice. He brings more than 17 years of experience working with companies that have gone from start-ups to multinational, publicly-traded entities. His responsibilities include insurance program design, risk assessment, placement, and advisory services.

Prior to joining Newfront, Jeff was a Principal at Marsh McLennan handling client programs and risk management.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from CSUSM. He enjoys mountain biking, golf, good food, travel, and, most importantly, spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Andrew Mansfield

Andrew Mansfield is a Vice President with Newfront Insurance who primarily works with startups and tech companies. With a background in startups and a successful exit of his own company, Andrew brings a depth of knowledge and understanding for early-stage companies. He has a passion for what it takes to go from idea to IPO or acquisition.

He’s excited to be a part of building great companies, and knows that offering the right benefits package is just one of the crucial components to attracting the best talent and allowing companies to thrive.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from The University of Connecticut and an entrepreneurial leadership degree from Babson College. Currently living in Point Loma, he loves being outdoors, mountain biking, skiing, hiking, golf, and anything related to water. He’s also the inventor of the “4 for 40” (which is when you golf, ski, mountain bike, and surf all within 40 hours).

Pedro Reyes

Pedro Reyes is a Senior Vice President at Newfront Insurance and primarily works with non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and charter schools in managing their risk and employee benefit programs. Pedro has worked in insurance for more than 18 years and was a Principal at Marsh McLennan for more than 15 years.

Pedro has a real passion for helping businesses provide the highest level of benefits possible and making sure that employees find value in their employer’s benefits program.  

Pedro holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from The University of California, Berkeley (class of 2004). He is married to his college sweetheart and has three dogs, aged 7,14, and 16.

Jake Daly, AIF®

Jake Daly is a Vice President within Newfront’s Retirement Services practice. Jake has been in financial services, retirement plan consulting, and investment advisory for 15 years. Jake’s expertise includes retirement plan design, investment menu design, benchmarking, fiduciary governance, compliance, and employee engagement strategy.

Jake is a veteran of the United States Air Force, and he is actively involved in the community. Jake is currently an Associate Board Member with the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation’s Western Division, and has supported the San Francisco Pride Community Partners Program, the LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert, First Tee in Coachella Valley and San Francisco, Junior Achievement of San Diego, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego.

Jake holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Sonoma State University, and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®). Jake enjoys golfing, travel, and spending time with his husband, family, and friends.
