Annie has practiced public accounting since 2008 and holds a key leadership role in growing the firm’s life sciences practice in Southern California including developing and collaborating with external and internal partnerships, hosting and sponsoring executive events, and strategizing marketing campaigns. She has extensive experience working with clients in the life sciences, technology, and manufacturing and distribution industries ranging from early-stage start-ups to multinational public entities. Annie has strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to effectively provide services to private and public audits, SOX 404, and consulting engagements. Her client portfolio includes integrated SEC reporting clients as well as a number of privately-held clients.

Desiree Klassen

Senior Manager

Desiree has practiced public accounting since 2004. She specializes in providing tax compliance, consulting, and provision services to clients in a wide range of industries, including medical devices, technology, and life sciences. Desiree has extensive ASC 740 experience and has prepared income tax provision computations on behalf of several public and private companies in addition to assisting audit professionals in the review of income tax provisions prepared by third parties. She is proficient with advanced ASC 740 concepts including those associated with mergers & acquisitions, multistate and international operations, and uncertain tax positions.

Jennifer Menendez

Director

Jennifer has practiced public accounting since 2006. She serves both privately and publicly held companies in the technology, life sciences, and manufacturing and distribution industries. Jennifer has extensive knowledge of corporate tax compliance and consulting issues, including tax provisions, consolidated returns, multistate filing obligations, stock compensation, Section 280G, research credits, and other transaction issues. She is one of the firm’s designated ASC 740 and Section 382 reviewers.

Peter Henderson

Partner

Peter has worked in public accounting since 2008. He specializes in federal and state R&D tax credit incentives. Peter has extensive experience in mechanical and high-tech industries, including: aerospace, defense, space-tech, automotive, manufacturing, and hardware and software development. Peter has degrees in both engineering and accounting. Prior to joining Moss Adams, Peter spent a number of years performing R&D tax credit studies at a Big Four firm.
