Meet the Presenters

Clark Libenson

Clark Libenson is a corporate partner in the San Diego office of law firm Allen Matkins. For over three decades, Clark has helped companies navigate and successfully complete a broad range of business transactions both in the United States and abroad. Clark’s practice focuses on corporate finance and business transactions, including corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and private placements of equity and debt, real estate securities, employee equity and compensation arrangements, and corporate governance and board advisory matters. From an international perspective, Clark handles all manner of in-bound investment from the Asia-Pacific region and out-bound investment to Mexico and Latin America. He has a particular emphasis on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, manufacturing, and multi-jurisdictional distribution arrangements. Clark represents manufacturers, mining ventures, medical device and other technology companies, issuers of real estate securities, and real estate enterprises, among others.

Brian Buss

Brian Buss is an IP Valuations and Damages Expert with Nevium Intellectual Property Consultants. Brian provides intellectual property solutions, including: valuation, profit apportionment, expert testimony, economic analysis, and transaction advisory services for businesses, IP owners, attorneys and licensees. With core skills in valuation, profit apportionment and financial analysis, Brian leads strategic consulting and expert testimony assignments focused on intellectual properties and intangible assets, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, publicity rights, trade secrets, brand assets and technology assets. As a valuation expert, Brian has valued copyrights, brands, patents and business interests across a wide range of industries, including: apparel, technology start-ups, aerospace, transportation and logistics, entertainment, airlines, wireless communications, education, software, not-for-profits, consumer products, agricultural technology, biotech and pharmaceuticals, sporting goods, food & beverage, publishing, furniture, construction equipment, restaurants, music, retail, and more.

Todd Poling

Todd Poling is the Founder and President of Vantage Point Advisors, Inc.  Mr. Poling is actively involved in valuation engagements of all types and also leads the firm’s strategic planning and business development efforts. Prior to founding Vantage Point, Mr. Poling was Managing Director of CBIZ Valuation Group, Inc., spending several years with the firm in the Dallas, San Diego, and Los Angeles offices.  While at CBIZ, Mr. Poling managed large and complex valuation consulting engagements focusing heavily in the transaction arena. He participated in numerous engagements involving corporate restructuring, initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, ESOPs and fairness opinions. In addition, he provided valuation consulting in litigation support situations and served as an expert witness in both deposition and trial settings. Before joining CBIZ, Mr. Poling was the first employee and General Manager of the Antique Drapery Rod Company, Inc. a start-up manufacturer of drapery hardware and other fabricated furniture products based in Dallas, Texas where he was responsible for the company’s operational and financial activities.  Today ADR, Inc. is an internationally recognized brand within its industry with over 150 employees, many of whom joined the company in its early years. Mr. Poling began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. where he worked in the firm’s audit and business consulting practices.
