We combine the advantage of a gyrocopter in forward flight that is in autorotation mode, therefore the rotor does not require power, only the forward thrusters require power.
We have a patented mechanism that automatically changes the pitch of the rotor blades so that the aircraft can take off and land vertically, including hover, without any of the complexities or maintenance associated of a helicopter. (A gyrocopter has zero blade pitch).
We are fuel cell hydrogen powered 2.4 kW, providing 6 plus hours of quiet, All electric, flight time. We have built in booster batteries that bring the on board power to 5.2kW. The GH-4 has the capacity for 30 minutes of VTOL/hover and when the aircraft is in forward flight (autogyro mode) the fuel cell has ample power to recharge the booster batteries for an additional 30 minutes of VTOL/hover.
Our technology can be applied to full size aircraft, challenging the existing helicopter mechanism that has not changed in principal since its inception. This can drastically reduce the cost and maintenance and increase reliability of helicopters as we know them today.
