Luna was conceived to deliver the overwhelming clinical and psychosocial benefits of automated insulin delivery (AID) to the majority of people using insulin who are unwilling or unable to wear a traditional insulin pump due to the expense and/or cognitive and emotional burden associated with the currently available AID systems. Through a significantly simplified user experience, a highly miniaturized design, a novel use case designed for discretion, and a disruptive price point, it is our intention to develop a new way to access AID that makes this life-changing technology much more widely accessible.
