Entrepreneurs 4 Young Innovators

CONNECT has developed a STEM program called Entrepreneurs for Young Innovators which is designed to inspire middle and high school students to pursue careers in life sciences and technology by introducing them to local entrepreneurs with exciting technology products.  CONNECT arranges for local CEOs who are winners of our Most Innovative New Product Awards or Venture Roundtables or graduates of our Springboard program to visit classrooms to tell their stories, describe their companies, demonstrate the products they are creating and explain how science, technology engineering and math (STEM) classes can help prepare for college and rewarding careers in technology.

Frame More Than Your Diploma (www.thePortfolium.com)

CONNECT endorses thePortfolium.com (aka Portfolium) which is a free online platform for students to visually showcase their work, accomplishments and experiences. It allows users to quickly and easily upload their work, projects and experiences beyond the limits of a traditional resume or brag-sheet, while including media, presentations, photos, video, pdf documents and more. Social features built into thePortfolium such as messaging, commenting, liking, bookmarking and sharing allow users to connect and collaborate with others across all fields of study and receive valuable feedback and ideas. Portfolium has helped students stand out during the competitive college admissions process, as it provides admissions representatives with a much deeper look at the student’s passions, experiences and potential. It is also used by employers when seeking the right fit for high school internships and employment after graduation.

CONNECT Summer Internship Program (not currently being offered for FY2014)
