CONNECT would like to extend a huge thank you to the Agency for Student Health Research, BIOCOM, eMolecules, and Z microsystems for volunteering at Mira Mesa High School during their annual Career Chat, part of CONNECT’s Entrepreneurs for Young Innovators program. The event is designed to give students access to life science professionals and gain perspective of how the industry operates and how it truly incorporates all types of jobs. Representatives from each of these companies sat down with small groups of students to discuss their professional background, possible STEM career options, job readiness, and conducted resume reviews.
Thanks to support from the Parker Foundation, Qualcomm, the County of San Diego, San Diego Gas & Electric, and the Arthur Brody Foundation, entrepreneurs will visit more than 2,500 elementary, middle and high school students in more than 20 schools across the region.
Are you interested in directly encouraging San Diego’s youth to pursue coursework, degrees and careers in the sciences and technology sectors? CONNECT’s Entrepreneurs for Young Innovators program would like to provide you with the opportunity to do just that. For more information, contact Nia Gipson.
