EuMederis Pharmaceuticals
EuMederis is focused on becoming a leader in the design and development of “Best in Class Peptide Therapeutics”, with improved compliance and efficacy due to non-invasive administration and prolonged duration of action. Peptides (mini-proteins) perform numerous critical roles throughout the body, e.g.  governing appetite, metabolism, growth, pain, etc. Their principal shortcomings as pharmaceuticals include their short duration of effect and need for repeated self-injection (e.g. Byetta®). Peptides protected by the EuMederis proprietary modification (EuPort™) avoid these shortcomings, essentially de-risking peptide targets.  EuPort™ is based on a novel, non-obvious chemical modification which allows broad patent protection of our therapeutic products following an extremely rapid design process, starting from known active molecules. Although the potential therapeutic applications and patent protection are very broad, initial products are treatments for osteoporosis, post-surgical pain, diabetes/metabolic syndrome, and pulmonary hypertension (orphan disease)/asthma, where early stage development is underway.
