A combination of expert remote and onsite mentors assist companies in generating a business plan and investor presentation that supports expansion into the US and/or California via the gateway San Diego.
Program Overview
CONNECT’s Global Bridge Program provides foreign companies the opportunity to obtain direct market and business strategy assessment and assistance in order to commercialize their recently developed technologies in the U.S. market. Using CONNECT’s Springboard Program and extensive social and professional networks as leverage, the Global Bridge Program facilitates access to research and development (R&D) collaborators, key supply chain partners, potential customers, talent, direct investment and market channels.
Fundamentals of the Program
The program begins with the pairing of the company with one or more of CONNECT’s CEO-level Business Advisors. The Business Advisor will provide:
- Remote coaching sessions to assist companies in developing strategies relevant to the U.S. market
- Direct one-on-one and group mentoring sessions to provide companies with assistance in creating and delivering a top-notch business plan and investor presentation
- Coaching to prepare for participation in a Springboard event to give companies the opportunity to present its refined business model or financial strategy in a 15-minute presentation to a panel of 8-10 industry experts.
- Targeted introductions allow each company the opportunity to connect to:
- Capital providers such as business angels, private investors or institutional venture capital
- Customers and/or strategic partners
- Suitably qualified executives
- Support networks with other companies and individuals who can bridge companies
The Process:
Coaching and Mentorship
A Springboard Business Advisor with deep business, domain and market experience relevant to the specialized area of the assigned company provides remote and face-to-face coaching sessions to prepare the company to present to the CONNECT Springboard panel.
Connections
Participants are formally introduced to industry leaders in the region in order to network and develop relationships leading to funding and strategic partnerships.
Fee for service:
The fee for the Global Bridge program is US $ 6,000, payable at agreed upon milestones and in full prior to the final Springboard panel.
The fee for the LaunchPad San Diego service is US $ 10,000 and includes the RAP program as well as the Global Bridge program (if appropriate). The fee does not include local accommodations or transportation .The fee is payable prior to the final presentation to investors and/or strategic partners.
